One person incurred minor injuries after an MTA bus crashed in the Fordham Heights section of the Bronx on Tuesday night, Jan. 27.

 

An FDNY spokesperson said the department received a call on Tuesday night at 9.40 p.m. for a report of motor vehicle accident at 2085 Valentine Avenue, located between East 180th Street and East 181st Street.

 

The spokesperson said EMS evaluated one patient with minor injuries at the scene who refused transportation to a hospital. The description of the patient is unknown, and the incident was closed at 10.40 p.m.  Norwood News is following up with the MTA and NYPD for more information on the accident and will share further details as they become available.

 

As reported, it was a busy night in The Bronx for the FDNY and EMS. Two civilians incurred minor injuries and two firefighters were also injured but not seriously after a 2-alarm fire broke out in the Throggs Neck section of The Bronx in the early hours of Wednesday, Jan. 28. Operations were ongoing into the early morning.

 

Also, as reported, there are no injuries reported so far following an “all hands” fire which broke out and spread to several floors in a building in the Allerton section of The Bronx the same morning. Meanwhile, also on Tuesday night, emergency services were called when a person was struck by a train in Kingsbridge Heights and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
