Brooklyn Beckham publicly called out his parents for tainting their relationship in a series of Instagram Stories on Jan. 16.
He accused his mom, Victoria Beckham, of hijacking the first dance at his wedding.
Now, his wedding planner alleges that any family drama didn’t exist, as they were “surprised” by his decision to cut his parents off.
Ever since Brooklyn Beckham slammed his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, for their alleged toxic tendencies, new headlines have continued to emerge about their rumored rift with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
Part of Brooklyn’s statement claimed that his mom attempted to “hijack” his first dance with Nicola at their wedding…after she “canceled” the custom gown she was reportedly designing for Brooklyn’s bride.
The latest development in the saga involves the couple’s wedding planner, Preston Bailey, who alleges that “there wasn’t any tension” between the couple and Brooklyn’s famous parents at the time.
“It surprises me that he is taking this stand against his parents,” he told Page Six. “That’s not the Brooklyn I met, as far as him being this nice, gentle guy…He was just a nice, regular person who would say hello and chit-chat.”
Preston continued, “I can tell you about my experience with Brooklyn. While we were planning, clearly as far as the details for the design, he was very much involved. I have always thought of him as a gentle, decent guy. There was never any tension.”
The wedding planner also debunked any rumors that Nicola was “controlling” in the relationship and in the planning process, saying, “I don’t remember her being bossy. I remember a lot of affection between them.”
Preston was hired by Brooklyn and Nicole in April 2021, though he confirmed he never had direct interaction with the Beckhams. He had to step away from planning their nuptials after 11 months due to scheduling conflicts.
Victoria and David have yet to publicly comment on Brooklyn’s claims regarding their family dynamic.
Earlier this week, an insider told People, “David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son. They would take him back in a minute.” A second source added, “The Beckhams have no intention of reconciling with their son unless Nicola is out of the picture.”
The second source also claimed, “That’s not an ultimatum he’s going to cave on,” and explained that Brooklyn “has felt more support from his wife in these past three years than from his parents in his entire life.”
