The New York Giants are continuing their search for an offensive coordinator following a setback in their coaching staff plans.
Todd Monken, who had reportedly worked out a deal to join the Giants as offensive coordinator under new head coach John Harbaugh, instead accepted the head coaching position with the Cleveland Browns.

NFL Network’s Peter Schrager, also a FOX Sports insider, reports the Giants are set to meet with Jim Bob Cooter to discuss the role, which would likely include play-calling duties.
Cooter, 41, has served as the Indianapolis Colts’ OC since 2023, guiding an offense that ranked eighth in points per game and yards per play this past season, showcasing a productive and hard-to-defend scheme.
Cooter brings extensive NFL experience, including a prior stint as OC for the Detroit Lions (2015–2018), roles with the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, and a consulting position with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021 under Nick Sirianni. The Eagles have already interviewed him twice for their own OC opening, creating potential competition for his services.

The Giants view Cooter as a strong candidate amid their ongoing hunt for offensive leadership.
