STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Four Staten Island PSAL wrestling squads are gearing up for the citywide playoffs which start Saturday in two different divisions.

Top-seeded Tottenville will be joined by Susan Wagner (No. 5 seed) and New Dorp (No. 10) in the 2A (bigger schools) playoffs which comprises 15 teams, while Petrides (8-0) will compete in the 18-team, 1A setup (smaller schools) as the No. 1 seed.

The Pirates (8-0), who are led by Tristan Levin at 126 pounds and David Khodzhaev at 144, have received a bye into Saturday’s 11:45 a.m. semis at Tottenville and could face the Falcons (7-1) if they beat their first-round opponent Bronx Science (No. 12 seed) and then an undetermined opponent in the quarters. SW is led by Susan Joshua Zacharia (118 pounds).

The Centrals (4-4), meanwhile, are in the other half of the 2A bracket and will face No. 7 Franklin D. Roosevelt at 9:30 a.m. at Madison HS in Brooklyn. New Dorp is paced by 215-pounder Malik Ayesh.

One half of the 1A playoffs will be contested at Petrides on Saturday, while the other half will take place at Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy in the Bronx.

The Panthers (8-0), who are led by the Molinare brothers (Giovanni and Rocky) and Bradley Munoz among others, have earned a berth into the second round and will need to win three matches to advance to Tuesday’s championship at 7 p.m. at Grover Cleveland HS in Queens.

On the same night, the 2A championship dual will take place at 5 p.m., also at Grover.
