New York State Lottery Player Wins $1 Million Dollars Three Times

Meet Brian Lattimer of Yonkers, who has staked his claim as the luckiest lottery player in New York State. Not only did he become a millionaire, it did three times over.

Lattimer came forward earlier this month with not one, not two, but three winning Powerball tickets, and they all came from the same drawing.

Lattimer bought three tickets for the October 20, 2025 drawing using the same numbers for each ticket. Well, he matched all five numbers but missed the Powerball number to win $1 millions per ticket.

That is right, he ended up winning $3 million dollars from all three tickets. He decided to take the lump sum of the tickets and walked with $1,896,375 after taxes and withholdings.

Of course, the big question is, why would you buy multiple tickets with the same number? Usually, if you buy more than one ticket, you want to switch up the numbers to give yourself a better chance at winning the grand prize.

Lattimer didn’t say why he bought three tickets with the same number, but I am sure this morning, he is happy he did.

The next Powerball drawing is happening tonight at 10:59 pm. At the time of this writing, the current Powerball jackpot is $57 million dollars.
