STATEN ISLAND, N.Y — St. Joseph by-the-Sea senior Justin Stassi picked up career win 100 Saturday during the opening day of two in the 2026 CHAA Dual Meet Championships at Monsignor Farrell High School.
Stassi toppled Jacob Moser of St. Joe’s Collegiate via a 15-0 technical fall in his milestone win at 190 pounds.
“Justin has been a huge part of our team’s success over the past four years, winning some big matches for our team,” said proud Viking head coach Corey Hannah. “He was named one of my team captains as a senior this year, due to his great leadership qualities and is very respected as one of the team’s leaders this year.”

But there’s more to Stassi than just big wins on the mat as he holds a 101 school average in the classroom.
“Justin is not only a great wrestler, but more importantly he’s one of the most respectful young man that has wrestled for Sea. Justin is also the true definition of a student/ athlete,” said Hannah, who noted that Stassi is a member of the school’s 100/100 Student Athlete Club.
The tourney will continue Sunday and the host Lions are the heavy favorites to walk away with the crown.
