BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — Human remains were found inside a Brooklyn basement on Sunday, according to police.
The remains, believed to be a woman in her 50s or 60s, were discovered before 10 a.m. on Sunday inside 330 Bushwick Ave. in Brooklyn, police and sources told PIX11 News.
Sources said a NYCHA employee found the remains inside a plastic bag in the compactor room. No clothing was found in the bag, according to sources.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
