MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Firefighters rescued a dog while battling a blaze Tuesday night at a Manhattan residence, authorities said.
The fire was reported Tuesday night at a single-story residence at 1420 Hillcrest Drive, on the city’s west side.
First-arriving crews reported flames and smoke coming from the home.

Firefighters made an “aggressive interior attack” as they responded to the blaze.
During a search of the residence, firefighters were able to rescue a dog from the residence.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
