GRAVESEND – NYPD CADET ERAY Celiksoy, age 21, was arrested on Sunday evening and charged with robbery, strangulation and two counts of assault, police announced on Sunday.Â
According to PIX 11 News, Celiksoy allegedly became involved in an argument with a 51-year-old woman he did not know in the vicinity of East 4th Street and Avenue W, and allegedly attempted to take her cellphone. The argument reportedly became physical; Celiksoy is accused of punching, kicking and putting his hands on the throat of the woman during the fight.
The woman was brought to an area hospital, police told PIX.
