ZeroSpace in Gowanus will turn into an immersive hub of art and design, featuring works from emerging global artists and Brooklyn’s vibrant creative community.

The Other Art Fair Brooklyn, presented by Saatchi Art, returns to ZeroSpace from Nov. 6–9, for its 16th edition.

Featuring 130 independent artists from across the globe, the fair continues to champion emerging voices in contemporary art, offering original works starting at $100. Known as the antidote to traditional gallery fairs, it emphasizes accessibility, transparent pricing, and direct connections between artists and collectors.

“We invite visitors to look up at awe-inspiring large-scale installations, slow down to watch kinetic art in motion, or step right into playful, selfie-worthy moments,” said Emily-Jean Alexander, director of The Other Art Fair, Brooklyn. “You can also be bold and snag a mystery artwork, customize your own tote and best of all, collect original pieces straight from the independent artists who made them.”

This year’s selection committee includes Saatchi Art curator India Baleyjusa, gallerist and curator Daisha Board and Paola Gallio, curator plus director of Tappeto Volante Projects.

Headlining the fair is Splendour, by Sydney-based design studio Atelier Sisu, a monumental suspended sculpture inspired by the shifting beauty of sunlight. The installation transforms throughout the day as light dances across its iridescent surfaces, creating an otherworldly experience that blurs the line between art and architecture.

Brooklyn-based Hypersonic [Art & Design] brings a series of kinetic sculptures, including experimental works from the Circular Series and Diffusion Choir. Founded by Bill Washabaugh, the studio merges art, science and technology to produce dynamic, movement-driven installations.

At the Main Bar installation, artists Adam Rose and Richard Hoffman reimagine the Met Cloisters as The (Brooklyn) Cloisters, blending medieval inspiration with street-style art.

Guests can also take part in Manuscripts: Destroyed, an interactive portrait experience that fuses digital portraiture with graffiti-like transformation.

This edition also spotlights Evelyn Gardiner, recipient of the Brooklyn New Futures Award. Gardiner’s oil paintings and prints explore the relationship between natural cycles plus spirituality, reflecting resilience and renewal through vivid, nature-inspired imagery.

Debuting this year, the new Artisan Section celebrates Brooklyn’s maker culture, showcasing handcrafted works from Clay Space, Dirtbag ArtHaus and Textile Arts Center. Each brings a fresh perspective to the intersection of fine art and design.

Local nonprofit Arts Gowanus joins as an exhibiting partner, inviting visitors to design and print custom tote bags inspired by “monsters of the Gowanus Canal.”

The fair will also support the Black Trans Femme Collective (BTFA) as its official charity partner. BTFA creates opportunities and platforms for Black trans femmes in the arts, expanding visibility and access across creative communities.
