NEW YORK (PIX11) — New York City’s Alternate Side Parking rules have been suspended for over a week due to ongoing snow operations.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani announced an extension to the suspension last week that was supposed to end on Monday.

Mamdani’s announced extension for Alternate Side Parking suspensions city-wide is expected to last through Tuesday, according to 311.

The look-ahead schedule on 311’s website shows Wednesday as the first day back to moving cars to the other side of the street for cleaning. Parking meter rules have been in effect for the entire suspension.

Drivers are reminded that parking within 15 feet of either side of a fire hydrant is illegal and that painted curbs at hydrant locations do not indicate where they can park.
