In December of last year, singer/songwriter Bebe Rexha initiated a public, viral search for a “baby daddy” via X (formerly Twitter), enlisting her fans, called the “Rexhars,” to help her find a suitable partner.

Requirements dictate that the partner must be a successful driven individual with good morals who is at least 5 foot 8 inches tall — or taller in height.

In addition, Rexha’s looking for someone with a great personality, and someone with high moral standards, and intelligence.

She also noted that she doesn’t do 50/50 expenses and prefers someone successful, as reported by Yahoo and via Instagram.

In fact, the popular performer, who was raised on Staten Island, has since created a “roster” of potential candidates and is reviewing applications, with updates as of this month revealing she’s still on the lookout.

“Looks: I’m ok with a 6 or 7 (personality is key for me). Height: I don’t need someone tall just be taller than me. 5’8 and up. Job: must be successful and not a moocher. Must be richer than me or equal. don’t pay for men or do 50/50. Someone who has a good personality. Good morals and is smart and driven. Send me options,” she wrote at the time as reported in a story on people.com

As of now, she’s has updated fans that inasmuch as she still remains single, she currently has three potential suitors “on the roster” following the public search.

And the 36-year-old artist made sure to compose a clear list of requirements for potential candidates:

The daddy must be successful and not a “moocher.”

Though personality isn’t a top priority, she mentioned she is okay with someone who is a “6 or 7” in looks as long as they have a great personality.

In fact, she’s even launched a formal “baby daddy application” for interested fans to fill out, which included questions about their age, city, job, and favorite restaurant — and a one-word description of their vibe, according to a YouTube video.

The statements also followed her previous candidness about personal health struggles, including her diagnosis with PCOS — Polycystic ovary syndrome, a common hormonal disorder that can sometimes lead to fertility issues.

Updates on Rexha and her career

Last month the four-time Grammy-nominated performer officially transitioned to an independent career, partnering with label and distributor EMPIRE after concluding her tenure with Warner Records.

The new era focuses on more creative freedom, with Rexha emphasizing a return to her roots as a singer/singwriter.

Following her 2023 breakup with Keyan Safyari, she’s been open about her desire to settle down, noted in E! News.

Rexha’s Staten Island roots

Rexha, a 2007 graduate of Tottenville High School, is a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter known for hits like “Meant to Be.”

While attending Tottenville, she participated in the choir and musicals, with names like “Hello Dolly” and “Little Shop of Horrors.”

What’s more, while in high school choir, she discovered that she is a coloratura soprano, which is characterized by an extremely high range.

As the focus of attention, she returned to her alma mater in 2018 to surprise students, and offered advice to “believe in yourself.”

And it was during that visit for an ABC News “Nightline” segment, where she performed for the crowd, toured the school, met with students, and reunited with staff.

Rexha continues to be recognized as a prominent Staten Islander having earned a 2023 Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Recording.
