STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Freshmen Kathryn Karounos and Alina Starodubenko rose to the occasion in leading Curtis to a 76-34 PSAL 4A victory over New Dorp Monday on the road.
Karounos netted a game-high 25 points, while Starodubenko poured in 20 points for the winners, who led 39-12 at the half.
The Warriors improved to 10-3 in the Staten Island division, tied with Susan Wagner. Tottenville (12-0) sits atop the standings.
Alessia Ferrante paced the Centrals with 15 points.
Curtis plays at Murry Bergtraum on Wednesday.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The Seagulls improved to 11-3 in the Brooklyn/Staten Island PSAL 3A division with the road win on Tuesday.
Eva Paraskevadis and Madisyn Chen split 20 points for the winners, who led 22-9 at the half.
MSIT and Abraham Lincoln tied for first place, heading into the PSAL playoffs. The teams split their two regular-season games.
