James D. Deaver, 84, died Jan. 20 in Accord, New York. Born Jan. 7, 1942, on Staten Island, he was raised at Mount Loretto. Mr. Deaver built a distinguished career as an elite machinist on Staten Island before relocating to upstate New York, where he continued his work until retirement. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved his pets. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Deaver (née Wellington), his sisters and their husbands, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
