PUTNAM VALLEY- Five Brooklyn men are facing felony charges after their vehicle was observed speeding on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley and troopers allegedly found a loaded Glock handgun attached to a large ammunition feeding device, described as an extended drum-style magazine.

State Police Troop K Public Information Officer Trooper Krystal Paolicelli identified the quintet as the driver, Devon Fortune-Harvey, 21 along with passengers Malik Blackstock, 23, Sean Lindsay, 21, Amari Andries, 22 and Ibrahim Jalloh, all of Brooklyn.

Troopers said when a patrol attempted to pull the northbound car over at 2:20 am, the vehicle took off and after notifying Troop K headquarters in Millbrook, Putnam County Sheriff’s Department, Kent, Carmel and East Fishkill Police, the suspect vehicle was stopped near the Putnam-Dutchess County line in East Fishkill.

Following an inventory of the vehicle, the weapons were allegedly found.

Multiple charges of criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm were lodged against the five suspects who were all remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail each or $150,000 bond pending future court action. 

The top charges are Class C felonies under the state’s penal code punishable upon conviction by prison terms of up to 15 years.
