STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a fire at a home in Meiers Corners on Wednesday morning.

The fire was called in at 5:46 a.m. at 104 Livingston Ave. between Holden Boulevard and Queen Street, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY and EMS.

The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen.

About 21 units and 79 fire and EMS personnel responded. They brought the blaze under control in about a half-hour, at 6:13 a.m., according to the FDNY spokesperson.

No injuries were reported.

The fire marshals will determine the cause of the blaze.
