Amtrak rail service between New York and Boston was restored early Thursday, but three Acela trains have been canceled due to lack of equipment.

Amtrak suspended service around 7 p.m. Wednesday after losing overhead power, the railway said on social media.

Around 1:30 a.m. Thursday, Amtrak reported the power issue had been resolved and service was restored.
