HERKIMER, N.Y. — Denny’s in Herkimer has permanently closed its doors.
The restaurant was located on Mohawk Street.
The last Grand Slam breakfast was served last night.
Eighteen workers from the Herkimer location have been offered jobs at the Utica diner.
Denny’s was acquired and taken private by a group for $620 million. There is no word if the Herkimer closure was part of that deal.
Denny’s locations remain open in Utica, Oneida and Oneonta.
Denny’s is planning to close some of its under-performing restaurants.
