MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was being held in the Riley County Jail following his weekend arrest in connection with kidnapping, aggravated batteryi and other offenses, officials said.
The arrested man was identified as Tyrell Harper, 29, of Manhattan.
Riley County police responded to the incident around 7:01 a.m. Saturday at an undisclosed location in Manhattan.

A 43-year-old woman, a 24-year-old female, a 7-year-old male and a 2-month-old female were listed as the victims and a 29-year-old man later identified as Harper was listed as the suspect.
Officials said Harper was subsequently arrested and was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with aggravated domestic battery; aggravated kidnapping; aggravated intimidation of a witness-victim; theft; battery; criminal damage to property; and endangering a child.
Harper was issued a total bond of $75,000 and remained Tuesday in the Riley County Jail.
Because of the nature of the reported crime, additional details weren’t being released as of Tuesday morning.
