New York Attorney General Letitia James is launching a new portal that will allow residents to share photos and videos of federal immigration actions.

The state’s “Federal Action Reporting Form” provides spaces to submit images and video of immigration raids, as well as a place to provide location information, according to The Guardian.

“Every New Yorker has the right to live without fear or intimidation,” James said in a statement, according to The Guardian. “We are committed to reviewing these reports and assessing any violations of law.”

The launch of the portal comes after a high-profile Immigration and Customs Enforcement raid on Canal Street in New York City, according to The Hill.

That raid attracted pushback from residents in the area, according to Reuters. Protesters nationwide have been recording ICE operations more frequently.

Critics have argued the agency is employing racial profiling and detaining immigrants with no criminal records, Reuters said.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security told Reuters that James’ new effort “looks like obstruction of justice.”

Since returning to office in January, President Donald Trump has led an immigration crackdown nationwide. ICE has conducted raids across the U.S., including in Upstate New York.

James has been a frequent opponent of Trump. She won a civil case against the president that accused him of fraud in his business dealings.

The case resulted in a penalty worth hundreds of millions of dollars, although the fine was later overturned.

Trump’s Justice Department indicted James earlier in October on charges of mortgage fraud.
