New York State Police at Homer arrested two people following a domestic dispute investigation.

Troopers were dispatched to a residence on West Main Street in Marathon after the victim contacted 911 to report a domestic incident. Upon arrival, the victim stated she no longer required assistance.

As Troopers conducted their investigation, they determined the individual the victim initially requested to be removed was Isaac D. Faircloth, 23 of no known address. Troopers further discovered that Faircloth has an active arrest warrant with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department.

Troopers observed Faircloth fleeing the residence. When Troopers attempted to make contact with Faircloth, the victim physically placed herself in front of Troopers, slowing their response and interfering with their attempt to take Faircloth into custody.

Jayden-Lyn Rose Stevens 19, of Marathon was arrested and charged with the misdemeanors of Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest.

Stevens was transported to SP Marathon where she was processed and transported to the Cortland County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

A Trooper pursued Faircloth on foot but initially lost sight of him after he gained distance.  Troopers later received information that Faircloth was hiding inside a detached garage on Front Street.  Troopers entered the garage and located Faircloth who attempted to flee again, but was taken into custody.

Faircloth was charged with the misdemeanors of Criminal Trespass in the 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree and Resisting Arrest.

Faircloth was arrested and transported to SP Homer then transported to the Cortland County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.Â
