Senator Joseph P. Addabbo, Jr. presented a proclamation to Community Board 6 at their monthly meeting on February 11, 2026, commemorating the 120th anniversary of Forest Hills. The Senator also gave copies to residents of the neighborhood who attended the meeting.
The proclamation highlights Forest Hills as one of the borough’s most historic and vibrant neighborhoods, praising its architectural beauty, cultural richness and exceptional community spirit. It also recognizes its civic-minded residents and the strength of its local businesses and schools.
“Today I am proud to recognize the neighborhood of Forest
Hills and its rich history as we mark its 120 years of community, culture, and resilience,” Addabbo said. “I am presenting this proclamation as a reminder to embrace our shared heritage. Every street tells a story, and every neighbor adds to the fabric of Queens.”
