STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island’s Community Boards will hold public meetings next week to discuss various local projects like the future of Pier 1 in St. George and a proposed reconstruction of Silver Lake Park Playground at Revere Street.

The following is a list of all Staten Island Community Board meetings scheduled for next week, as provided by representatives from each of the boards.

Community Board 1

Community Board 1 will hold two meetings next week.

The Waterfront Committee will hold a virtual meeting on Zoom on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 6:30 p.m. Diana Switaj and Judah Asimov of the city Economic Development Corporation will continue discussions on Pier 1.

A $2.5 million federal investment was announced in 2024 to help restore the long-shuttered St. George fishing pier and revitalize the borough’s North Shore.

On Wednesday, Feb. 25, the New York City Parks Department along with the Silver Lake/Sunnyside/Grymes Hill/Westerleigh/Willowbrook and West Brighton/Randall Manor committees will hold a virtual meeting on Zoom at 7 p.m.

The Parks Department will make a presentation and seek community input on the proposed reconstruction of Silver Lake Park Playground at Revere Street.

Community Board 2

Community Board 2 will not hold any meetings next week.

Community Board 3

Community Board 3 will hold a general board meeting and public meeting in-person on Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 7 p.m.

It will be held at the CYO-MIV Community Center, located at 6541 Hylan Blvd., Pleasant Plains. During the meeting, routine board business will be conducted, including project updates and neighborhood concerns.
