Gov. Kathy Hochul made it pretty clear on Friday when she issued a state of emergency for 22 New York counties due to an impending snowstorm that’ll bring strong winds and massive snow totals to the area.

Charge up your phones and laptops and work from home.

“You do not want to be pulled over and have to force our emergency personnel to try and get you off the road when they might be trying to save someone else’s life,” Hochul said. “So just please be smart and make sure there’s not a travel advisory or a complete ban on travel when you’re heading out.

If that’s not possible and you need to get to work, here’s a look at public transportation options as well as bridge closures.

Is Metro-North running Monday?

The commuter rail will keep to an hourly schedule on its main Harlem, Hudson and New Haven lines Monday. The branch lines — Wassaic, Danbury, New Canaan, and Waterbury — will be on a weekend schedule.

Hudson Rail Link service over the Gov. Mario M. Cuomo Bridge will be suspended. The same goes for shuttle bus service between Haverstraw and Ossining, which has been subbing in for ferry service while there’s ice on the Hudson River.

Meanwhile, Metro-North’s sister rail, the Long Island Rail Road, will totally shut down 1 a.m. Monday.

“This proactive suspension allows crews to focus on snow-clearing efforts from this extreme winter weather event, which includes projected extreme velocity winds on eastern Long Island, to provide safe and reliable service when possible,” the MTA said Sunday afternoon.

NJ Transit anticipates rail schedule announcements in the coming hours. As of 4:30 p.m. Sunday, it had decided to suspend its bus and light rail service.

Are Westchester’s Bee-Line buses running Monday?

Westchester County’s Bee-Line buses will be suspended at 7 p.m. Sunday through 2 p.m. Monday.

Paratransit will also be suspended during those hours.

What about NYC subways and buses?

New York City subways will run express service on local tracks. Most of the subway is underground, but there are 220 miles that aren’t, including several stretches of outdoor track in Brooklyn and Queens.

City buses will run on a modified schedule subject to road conditions and detours. But the longer accordion-style buses will be replaced by standard-length buses with chains on their wheels.

Tractor-trailers and trucks banned on MTA bridges

Empty tractor-trailers and tandem trucks are banned on the MTA’s seven bridges between 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday. Those include the Bronx-Whitestone Bridge; Cross-Bay Bridge; Henry Hudson Bridge; Marine Parkway Bridge; Robert F. Kennedy Bridge; Throgs Neck Bridge and the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.

And Access-A-Ride paratransit will not be taking any reservations after 9 p.m. Sunday to coincide with a travel ban on city roads that begins 9 p.m. Sunday.
