MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was taken to an area hospital after a motorcycle-sport utility vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan, officials said.
The crash was reported around 2:26 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Bluemont Avenue and Tuttle Creek Boulevard.

Riley County Police officials said a 2020 Jeep Cherokee SUV, driven by Jesse McDonald, 25, of Mound City, collided with a 2018 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, ridden by Donald George, 59, of Manhattan, which then collided with a 2020 Ford Explorer SUV, driven by Layrnn Reed, 31, of Manhattan.
George, who was riding the motorcycle, was transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for treatment of what Riley County Police officials said were “minor injuries.”
Officials said McDonald was issued a citation for following too closely.
