DANBURY – Immaculate High School has announced that senior CJ Previdi officially committed to Manhattan University where he will compete in Division One golf.

Previdi, who lives in Newtown, is the Immaculate Golf Team’s Captain and the 2025 State Champion. He received All State honors in 2024 and 2025 and boasts the lowest scoring average in school history with a 34.7. Previdi’s average is also the second best in the state. He was an integral part of the school’s Golf Team which clinched the 2025 Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) Fall Division II state championship against Weston High School.

“We are definitely going to miss him on our Mustang Golf Team, but we are grateful for all his contributions here,” said Golf Coach George Bielizna. “We know he will continue to bring a spirit of excellence and leadership as a Jasper at Manhattan University.”

“I am thrilled for CJ and also proud of how our Golf Team program here at Immaculate has continued to excel,” said Athletic Director Nelson Mingachos. “Our team works hard and CJ has been a great role model for our underclassmen who will grow into leadership positions next year.”

National letters of intent represent a formal commitment between each student-athlete and their chosen college or university, marking an important milestone celebrated by schools across the country. Previdi was joined by his parents, coaches and friends to honor his achievements and future success.
