NEW YORK CITY (WABC) — A man who punched random strangers in Manhattan has been convicted of several hate crimes.
Skiboky Stora, 42, was found guilty of harassing and assaulting strangers in a series of anti-female, anti-white, and antisemitic incidents in 2023 and 2024.
Prosecutors say he posted video of some of the attacks online.
One of the victims was a woman in Chelsea who happens to be a TikTok influencer.
She posted a video about the attack that got millions of views.
“The victims were met with both violence and harassment simply because of who they are. Hate crimes strike at the core of our city’s values and sense of safety, and I thank the hardworking prosecutors of our Hate Crimes Unit for presenting a rigorous case and securing this conviction,” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin L. Bragg said.
His sentencing is scheduled for April 14.
