Lakisha Smalls named MTA Hero for outstanding service on the Staten Island Railway

This week’s MTA Hero is Lakisha Smalls, Principal Administrative Associate for the Staten Island Railway.

She oversees about 120 conductors and operators who work for the Staten Island Railway, ensuring crews are where they need to be to run service.

She also assists customers at the booth by answering their questions.

Lakisha was recently recognized for her customer service at the St. George Terminal where she works.

She’s been with the Staten Island Railway for 10 years.

Lakisha says she enjoys being a team player and doing her job to the best of her ability.
