Hell’s Kitchen’s most recognizable skyscraper — Worldwide Plaza — is now headed toward what could become a court-ordered sale.

Senior lenders behind the building’s $940 million mortgage have filed a foreclosure action in New York State Supreme Court, first reported by PincusCo, marking a major escalation in the long-running battle over control of the pyramid-topped office tower at 825 8th Avenue.
