Heps in NYC Up Next for Bulldogs

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men’s track and field team will compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at The Armory in New York.
Competition begins Saturday and concludes Sunday.

Scoring is on a 10-8-6-4-2-1 scale. At the conclusion of the meet, a Field Performer of the Meet, a Track Performer of the Meet and the Coaching Staff of the Year will be selected. Heps also determines All-Ivy League honorees. The top finisher in each event earns first team All-Ivy League recognition, while the second finisher earns second team All-Ivy League recognition. All of those awards will be announced formally next Tuesday.

Princeton is the defending champion. The last time a team other than the Tigers won indoor Heps was 2014 (Cornell). Yale finished sixth at Heps last year, marking the second straight year in which the team improved on its placement from the previous season.
