New York is one of the biggest exporters among all U.S. states, according to recent data from Stacker.
In July, the most recent month for which Stacker had data, New York had the third-highest export total in the nation at $7.6 billion worth of goods. Only Texas at $37.5 billion and California at $15.9 billion had higher numbers.
As a major exporter, President Donald Trump’s tariffs are a significant concern for New York. Gov. Kathy Hochul has spoken out against them and New York was among a group of 12 states that sued over the tariffs earlier this year.
Trump has imposed tariffs on a range of goods and individual nations since returning to office in January.
