Last year, there were reports that Charles wanted Camilla to use the home as a “dowager house.”Friends say Andrew and his kids have “told friends” the King wants the Royal Lodge to be the Queen’s “base in Windsor.”

One thing King Charles, Prince William, the British government, and the British public all have in common? Wanting disgraced royal Prince Andrew out of the Royal Lodge—you know that massive mansion he’s been rattling around in rent-free.

Andrew doesn’t pay anything to live in the giant home, and spends his time playing video games all day while making his staff call him “Your Royal Highness”—despite the fact that he’s not supposed to be using titles. Meanwhile, Andrew is convinced that the “real reason” King Charles wants to evict him is so that Queen Camilla can move into the property.

Per The Telegraph, family friends have said that Andrew “believes the King has an ulterior motive in wanting him to leave Royal Lodge. He and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, his daughters, have told friends that the King wants Royal Lodge to be the Queen’s base in Windsor should she outlive him.”

Apparently aides for the King have “flatly deny the suggestion,” but Andrew has become “fixed on the idea.”

FYI Rumors that Charles had earmarked the property for Camilla started in 2024, at which point the Daily Beast said he was “eying as a potential dowager house for his wife Camilla.” But it looks like Camilla is perfectly happy at her family home, Ray Mill House. So, seems like the royals want Andrew out of the Royal Lodge for…other reasons!
