NEW YORK (PIX11) — As the temperatures dropped to end the weekend in New York City, spring feelings could be right around the corner.

Temperatures will remain chilly and on the edge of freezing for the tri-state area on Monday with a healthy mix of cloud coverage.

The snow melt that tri-state residents have seen since the storm left the area will be on hold for Monday, but Tuesday could pick it right back up with 40-degree temperatures and possible rain showers.

Wednesday will be even warmer, approaching 50 degrees with some bright spots for sun before temperatures climb again on Thursday for a chance of mild rain showers.

Friday may bring rain as well, but temperatures will stay around the 50-degree mark. Saturday and Sunday could be great for getting outside with sunshine and mid-50s temperatures in the tri-state.
