Victor, N.Y. — A new chance for college students for a chance to advance their media careers.
Seven students were nominated by faculty for the Tom Hope Media Scholar Program, where they were able to present their work and partake in critiques.
The program is named in honor of Tom Hope, who was a combat photographer at the Battle of the Bulge and an advisor to filmmakers at the Eastman Museum.
“I get a lot of feedback from filmmakers, film directors, or people who’ve been in the industry, but very rarely do I get to hear from marketing professionals on my own creative work,” said Lindsey Hecker, a senior at RIT. “So this has just been a really great sort of way to integrate both sides of media that I really enjoy.”
Students were nominated by their respective college or university department faculty and staff.
