Mark Consuelos issued a PSA to NYC dog owners on Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday.

While discussing the need to rid the city’s streets of the remaining snowy slush and detritus, Kelly Ripa informed out-of-towners in the studio audience of “New Yorkers’ dirty little secret.”

“When it snows, people don’t pick up their dog poop,” she revealed. “They believe that the snow somehow melts the poop.”

While Consuelos began to seethe, he noted that the snow “has the opposite effect” on dog poop.

Ripa added, “It freezes it and it holds its shape. It preserves it. It’s like a monument.”

Consuelos proceeded to sound off on dog owners who refuse to pick up their doggy’s doo doo.

“I believe there’s a special place for people who leave their dog poop on the street. I believe there’s a special place for you. I’m not going to say what it is, but I think there’s something wrong with you,” he said. “Really, really wrong with you. It’s not nice. Pick up your dog’s poop. Come on!”

Ripa also got riled up as she recalled a video she saw on social media of “some girls posting them getting out of cabs and walking over the snow mounds in their club clothes to go to the club.”

“And they, like, jump into the snow pile. And I’m like, you don’t know what’s on the other side of that pile!” she quipped. “I have institutional knowledge. You just stepped in a bunch of dog poop.”

Consuelos teased, “You need a tetanus shot!”
