MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) — A man pretending to be armed allegedly threatened a Manhattan parking garage attendant before driving off in a stolen Audi Sunday night, police said.
The suspect allegedly simulated having a gun and told the 40-year-old worker give him money or keys to one of the cars in the garage at 65 West 15th St. at around 10:20 p.m., according to the NYPD.
The man then allegedly stole a gray Audi and was last seen driving northbound on the West Side Highway, police said.
The parking garage attendant was not injured.
There have been no arrests.
There have been more than 1,500 cars stolen citywide as of Feb. 22, and 469 of those were in the Bronx, according to NYPD data.
