A Monmouth County man died Thursday night after the car he was driving collided with a truck on the New Jersey Turnpike in Union County, authorities said.
Adam Paduszynski, 72, of Matawan, was traveling south when the right side of his car collided with the front of a truck that was also headed south, according to New Jersey State Police.
The collision occurred about 8:35 p.m. on the inner roadway at milepost 97.1 in Linden, state police said.
Paduszynski sustained fatal injuries. The truck driver, a 22-year-old Passaic man, was not hurt.
No charges were filed, and the crash remains under investigation, state police said Friday.
