IHG Hotels & Resorts will add a new Kimpton property to its New York portfolio this winter with the opening of the Kimpton Ashbel New York-Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
Located near Grand Central Terminal, the 205-room hotel occupies a 17-story building originally built in 1928 as the Doral Park Avenue Hotel.
The property has undergone a redesign and now features townhouse-inspired interiors with custom furnishings and artwork. Select accommodations showcase views of Park Avenue and the Empire State Building, with the property also offering 14 family-friendly connecting rooms.
The hotel’s ground floor features a series of residential-style spaces, including a foyer and a living room with a stone fireplace and a library.
The property will also be home to the Park & Bel cafe, which will serve baked goods, seasonal fruit and sandwiches during morning hours, while transitioning to small plates in the evening, accompanied by a bar cart program featuring cocktails, craft beer and wine.
As is standard at all Kimpton properties, guests will have access to complimentary morning coffee service and an afternoon wine hour in the lobby.
The Kimpton Ashbel will mark the fourth Kimpton in Midtown Manhattan, joining the Kimpton Hotel Eventi, the Kimpton Theta New York – Times Square and the soon-to-open Kimpton Era Midtown New York, which is on track to debut near Rockefeller Center in March.Â
