The New York Knicks extended their winning streak to three games with a convincing 111-95 road victory over the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night.

Jalen Brunson once again led the charge with 26 points and 10 assists, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 21 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.

The win marked New York’s fifth victory in its last six games as the team continues to build momentum in the Eastern Conference.

Meanwhile, Madison Square Garden wasn’t quiet back in New York. At the college level, St. John’s staged a thrilling comeback to defeat Georgetown 72-69.

St. John’s standout Zuby Ejiofor delivered a dominant performance, finishing with 23 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks to guide the Red Storm past their Big East rivals.

The 21-year-old shot an efficient 10-of-13 from the field and converted 3-of-4 free throws, continuing a standout senior campaign that has steadily strengthened his NBA prospects.

Ejiofor has appeared consistently in mock drafts throughout the season and was recently projected to be selected 48th overall by the Phoenix Suns in Bleacher Report analyst Jonathan Wasserman’s latest projections.

Following St. John’s victory, Georgetown head coach Ed Cooley even made a public pitch for the Knicks or the Brooklyn Nets to keep the rising prospect in New York.

“I’m so glad Zuby Ejiofor is graduating, thank God,” Cooley said, via Rumble in the Garden. “Hopefully he plays for the Knicks or the Nets.”

Across 30 games this season, the 6-foot-9 big man is averaging 15.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.9 blocks while shooting 54.1% from the field and 32.5% from three-point range.

In St. John’s previous game, an emphatic 89-57 win over Villanova, Ejiofor recorded a 16-point, 12-rebound, 10-assist triple-double while also adding three blocks, further highlighting his impact during a breakout season.

Ejiofor began his college career at Kansas during the 2022-23 season but saw limited opportunities before transferring to St. John’s ahead of the 2023-24 campaign. Since arriving in New York, he has steadily developed into a legitimate NBA prospect.

His growth has already been recognized, earning him the 2025 Big East Most Improved Player award and First-Team All-Big East honors.

“Zuby Ejiofor’s production has remained consistent and powered by quickness, strength and effort,” Wasserman wrote. “He’s going to mainly earn NBA looks for a team that values his energy, physicality and defensive activity.”

“But Ejiofor has flashed enough shotmaking, face-up drives and post moves to potentially provide bonus offense at the next level. NBA teams will ultimately pay close attention to his pre-draft measurements.”

Although slightly undersized for a traditional interior role at 6-foot-9, Ejiofor’s relentless motor and physical style stand out.

His activity on the glass has been particularly notable, averaging 3.4 offensive rebounds per game this season after posting 4.4 per game last year.

Sports Illustrated’s Derek Parker recently wrote that the St. John’s forward/center is “tough, physical, brings the energy and simple winning-impact, should be good enough for teams to bet on at the 2026 NBA Draft.”

For a New York Knicks team balancing immediate playoff ambitions with long-term roster sustainability, a high-energy prospect like Ejiofor could represent a smart investment. Strengthening the frontcourt while adding affordable depth for the future.
