MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – A man was arrested early Sunday in Manhattan in connection with multiple counts including fleeing and attempting to elude law enforcement officers and driving under the influence, officials said.
The arrested man was identified as Mateo Hyman, 22, of Topeka.
Riley County police official said the incident was reported around 3:36 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Manhattan Avenue.

According to Riley County police reports, a 19-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 22-year-old man — later identified as Hyman — was listed as the suspect.
Riley County Police officials said the victim and suspect in the case were known to each other.
Following his arrest, Hyman was booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement officers; driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol; aggravated battery; DUI causing bodily harm; failure to stop at an accident; driving while suspended; and not having vehicle liability insurance.
Hyman was issued a total bond of $20,000. He had posted bond and been released from jail as of Monday morning, officials said.
