The professional ballroom dancer and Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star competed together in the most recent season of Dancing With the Stars in fall 2025.
They’re ready to razzle-dazzle ’em! Dancing With the Stars partners Mark Ballas and Whitney Leavitt will reunite in Chicago on Broadway from April 6 to May 3, when Ballas will join the cast as Billy Flynn opposite Leavitt’s Roxie Hart.
Ballas has previously starred in Jersey Boys and Kinky Boots on Broadway, but he’s best known for his nearly 20 years as a pro dancer on Dancing With the Stars, winning the competition series three times, and for appearing in season 4 of The Traitors, which ended in late February.
He and Leavitt placed sixth in Dancing With the Stars season 34 in fall 2025, after which Leavitt made her Broadway debut in Chicago starting February 2. It was previously announced that she would extend her run as Roxie, originally scheduled to end March 15, for an additional two weeks, from March 23 to April 5. She will now extend through May 3.
Fans were eager for Ballas and Leavitt to co-star on Broadway after performing Chicago and Hamilton-themed routines on DWTS, and after the pair shared social media videos of them together following Leavitt’s arrival in NYC. Ballas is scheduled to depart the show on X.
Chicago follows two murderesses, housewife Roxie and vaudevillian Velma, who compete for the sympathy of the public, the coverage of the press, and the attention of silver-tongued lawyer Billy Flynn in order to get acquitted — and famous. Having run since 1996, Chicago is the longest-running production currently on Broadway, celebrating its 30-year anniversary in November.
