Kimpton Era Midtown New York has opened in Manhattan, US, marking the newest addition to the brand’s portfolio in the city.

The opening introduces a 33-storey property developed and managed by Extell Development, marking its first directly operated hotel project.

The hotel features 529 guest rooms. It also includes two suites and nine rooms featuring outdoor terraces for additional space. A 1,375ft² gym is accessible to guests around the clock.

The hotel aims to provide a streamlined experience for travellers through digital self-service check-in.

Interior design for the property was created by INC Architecture & Design, with architectural work by SLCE Architects.

INC Architecture & Design also renovated the nearby Rockefeller Center in 2022.

Extell Development’s senior vice-president Elysa Goldman said: “As our first managed hospitality project under Extell Hospitality Services, Kimpton Era is a testament to our commitment to best-in-class service and sophisticated design.

“We’ve worked with world-class partners to create a destination that captures the layered character of New York City, and we are proud to see this vision come to life in the heart of Manhattan.”

“Kimpton Era Midtown New York hotel opens in Manhattan, US” was originally created and published by Hotel Management Network, a GlobalData owned brand.
