Good morning, New York. Here’s what you need to know today.
Your Weather Planner
After a dry and chilly morning, we turn unsettled this afternoon as wet snow to a mix develops. Some rain will mix in during the afternoon and evening, especially across lower elevations with primarily a wet snow in the higher terrain, north. Highs will be in the 30s and low 40s, with gusty wind and chills in the teens and 20s today, so a winter jacket will come in handy. Several inches of snow are expected in the Tug Hill and parts of the Adirondacks today through Saturday; Winter Weather Alerts are posted for these areas. Saturday will be blustery and cold with lingering snow showers through the middle of the day, then tapering. Highs will be in the 20s and 30s, with wind chills in the teens and 20s.
