Rail service resumed Friday between Newark Penn Station and Penn Station New York with limited trains and delays after overhead wire issues at the Portal Bridge.
NJ Transit said riders should expect delays of up to sixty minutes in both directions. Northeast Corridor trains will make local stops from Trenton to Newark Penn Station, while North Jersey Coast Line trains will make local stops from Rahway to Newark Penn Station.
Rail tickets and passes are being cross‑honored by NJ Transit buses and PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken and Thirty‑third Street in New York.
Officials said riders should plan for additional travel time.
