The final leg of the regular 2025/26 World Rugby SVNS Series will take place in New York from 14-15 March.

Despite having just one week’s rest since the last round in Vancouver, teams will have to muster all of their energy in a bid to improve their seeding ahead of three World Championships tournaments.

New Zealand’s all-conquering women’s side will hope to maintain their recent good form as they go for a fourth consecutive victory.

The table toppers will look to playmaker Jorja Miller to spearhead their challenge once again after her player-of-the-match performance in the Vancouver final, while second-placed Australia will be hoping to put one over their old rivals, having lost four finals to them this season.

On the men’s side, South Africa drew level with Fiji atop the standings after their second consecutive victory last week.

Stopping the Blitzboks’ momentum will be difficult, especially with playmaker Tristan Leyds and hard-running captain Impi Visser, who will play his 50th tournament, in such fine form.

The side that finishes top of the standings heading into the World Championship series will be exempt from relegation to SVNS 2.
