CLAYTON, New York (WWNY) – The North Country Goes Green Irish Festival continued Saturday.
It’s the second year that the long-running event is at a new venue: the Cerow Recreation Park Arena in Clayton.
Festivities lasted all day, with folks able to enjoy Irish cuisine, listen to live music, and drink a whole lot of beer if they choose to do so.
Money raised during the event will be used to grant scholarships to local students.
For some, the move to Clayton made getting to the festival a tad more difficult, that wasn’t the case for one woman we spoke with however, as the move basically brought it to her backyard.
“I just love that it’s in Clayton and it’s the second year here,” said Christine Woodley, a Clayton resident. “It’s a great way to come out, be with friends, and just do things in the community.”
The festival runs through the rest of the day Saturday, officially wrapping up at 11:55 p.m.
