Brooklyn’s snub is sure to hurt his family
Brooklyn Beckham appears to have cruelly snubbed his mum Victoria on Mother’s Day, as he ignored her and paid tribute to his mother-in-law Claudia Heffner Peltz on social media instead. The 27-year-old shared a photo of himself with wife Nicola Peltz, and her mum Claudia, posting a warm birthday message to mark her special day.
Alongside the snap, Brooklyn wrote: “Happy birthday to the best mother in law x love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.”
His post on Instagram comes on Sunday (15 March), which is Mother’s Day in the UK, and he neglected to share a public message for his mum Victoria. However, as Brooklyn is based in the US with wife Nicola, it’s possible he isn’t aware about the special day as in America it is celebrated in May.

At the time of writing, Brooklyn’s brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, also hadn’t yet shared tributes to their mum, but dad David posted a series of snaps celebrating his mum Sandra, his mother-in-law Jackie Adams, and wife Victoria.
Making sure Victoria didn’t feel left out on the special day, David shared a photo of her pregnant and shared: “Happy Mother’s Day to the most amazing mummy….. You are an inspiration in all the ways a mum should be to our 4 amazing children.. We love you so much and I’m so thankful for the family we have created. Have a special Mother’s Day because if there’s one person that deserves it it’s you. I love you.”
Brooklyn and Nicola have remained close to her family, regularly sharing loved-up posts and public tributes, while his relationship with parents David and Victoria has continued to come under scrutiny.
Earlier this year – after months of rumours of a feud between Brooklyn, Nicola and the Beckhams – the 27 year old shared a scathing statement on his social media slamming his parents and claiming he has no plans to reconcile with them.
The bombshell 800 word statement addressed everything. It read: “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.

David made sure Victoria wasn’t forgotten with his Mother’s Day post
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.”
He added: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn also accused his parents of prioritising the family brand over their personal relationships. “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first,” he said.
It was also reported that Brooklyn’s parents received a legal letter last year instructing them not to post about him on social media and reach out to him only via lawyers. However, on his birthday earlier this month David, 50, and Victoria, 51, ignored the legal instruction and posted gushing tributes to their son on their Instagram pages.

David was first to post, risking the wrath of his eldest son, as he shared a throwback photo of Brooklyn as a tot with David and a very tanned Victoria on holiday in the swimming pool, he wrote: “27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x.” Victoria also shared the snap with the caption: “Happy Birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much.”
It comes as friends of the couple told the Mirror that they continue to love Brooklyn ‘without question’ despite his recent public outburst. The pal also explained their reasons behind defying Brooklyn’s legal request as the gesture – in which they posted a picture of him as a boy alongside a happy 27th birthday message – was a “mark of how they will always love him no matter what.”
The friend added: “They can rise above the attacks and see the bigger picture….which is that they will love their son no matter what. They love him unconditionally, and will always do. It’s not just David and Victoria being forced to reach out this way….his three aunts posted too. It just goes to show that everyone wishes him the best, and everyone is prepared to draw a line under everything as they love and care for him so much.”
The friend said it was still desperately sad that the only way they could communicate was via social media. The pal added: “They will all be there should things change.”
