Brooklyn Beckham appeared to keep his distance from his famous family over the weekend, skipping a public tribute to his mother, Victoria Beckham, on U.K. Mother’s Day while instead sharing a message for his mother-in-law.
The 26-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday to post a belated birthday message for his mother-in-law, Claudia Peltz, highlighting the close relationship he has with his wife Nicola Peltz’s family. Alongside a photo of Nicola and her mom, Brooklyn wrote, “Happy birthday to the best mother in law. Love u so much and hope u had the most amazing day.”
The message quickly drew attention because of what was missing. While many families marked the holiday with public posts, Brooklyn did not share any tribute or message for Victoria Beckham as their feud continues. His silence stood out even more as the rest of the Beckham family made sure Victoria felt the love.

David Beckham and the couple’s other children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, all posted tributes to the former Spice Girls star on social media, celebrating her on Mother’s Day with photos and messages honoring the longtime fashion designer and mom of four.
Brooklyn’s absence from those public celebrations comes as rumors of tension between him and his famous family have continued to circulate.

Speculation about issues within the family has been ongoing since Brooklyn married actress Nicola Peltz in April 2022. Around the time of the wedding, reports began to surface suggesting Nicola and Victoria had clashed, though neither woman has publicly confirmed the details of those rumors.
The situation appeared to intensify earlier this year after Brooklyn posted a message on social media that many interpreted as criticism of his parents.
In the January post, Brooklyn accused them of being more focused on their public image than on supporting his marriage to Nicola.
He also addressed a rumor that had circulated since the couple’s wedding reception — a claim that Victoria interrupted his first dance with Nicola during the celebration.

Brooklyn pushed back on that moment in the post, writing that Victoria danced “very inappropriately” with him in front of guests and saying he had never felt more “uncomfortable or humiliated.”
The comments reignited discussion around the relationship between Brooklyn and his parents, which had already been the subject of frequent speculation in the years since his marriage. Neither Victoria nor David Beckham publicly responded to Brooklyn’s remarks at the time.
Since then, the Beckham family has largely continued sharing updates about their lives on social media as usual, though Brooklyn has often appeared more closely aligned online with Nicola and her family.
His latest post celebrating Claudia Peltz once again highlighted that connection.
