From Events to Infrastructure: MADE Hoops Goes Physical

MADE Hoops, the country’s largest independent grassroots basketball circuit, has opened its first permanent training facility in partnership with HMBL Development. The 15,000-square-foot center is located at 24 Carlton Avenue in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

The facility is led by Justin Bright, a Brooklyn-native trainer and HMBL founder whose client list includes Kiyan Anthony (now at Syracuse) and Deron Rippey Jr., the top-ranked point guard in the 2026 high school class. Bright runs daily programming with a staff of six coaches and trainers, all with college or professional playing experience.

MADE Hoops CEO Chad Babel built the organization over a decade into a platform running 125-plus events annually across more than 25 states, serving over 100,000 student-athletes ages 10 to 18. The Brooklyn facility marks its first move into year-round, brick-and-mortar development infrastructure.

Inside the Facility

The center is built around one full college-sized basketball court, with a separate side shooting court for individual skill work. Shot tracker technology is integrated into the space, giving players and coaches real-time performance data during training sessions. Off the court, a dedicated training area with turf supports speed, agility, and plyometric work. A player lounge rounds out the layout, giving athletes a space to decompress between sessions.

The design reflects the facility’s emphasis on year-round, multi-faceted development rather than a single-court rental model.

Who’s Backing the Build

The facility launch follows MADE Hoops’ first outside capital raise, announced in November 2025. The round was led by SC Holdings and LRMR Ventures, the family office of LeBron James and Maverick Carter. Additional investors include Kevin Durant and Rich Kleiman’s Boardroom Sports Holdings and NBA All-Star Paolo Banchero.

Maverick Carter and SC Holdings co-founder Jason Stein joined the MADE Hoops board of directors.

Programming and Operations

The center operates seven days a week with four programming tracks listed on the booking platform at hmbl.madehoops.com:

HMBL Training: Group, private, and semi-private basketball skill sessions (Mon-Sun)

Strength & Plyometrics: Private and semi-private athletic performance sessions (Tues-Sun)

Camps: Foot Locker All-Star Campo just wrapped with Spring Break HMBL Camps now open for registration

Court rentals are available during off-peak hours on weekdays and evenings on weekends. Pricing has not been publicly released. For context, comparable Brooklyn basketball training facilities charge between $50 and $100 per private session and $125 to $600 for weekly camps.

MADE For All and the Community Access Play

Alongside the investment, MADE Hoops launched the MADE For All Foundation, its first nonprofit arm. The foundation’s stated mission is to fund scholarships, training resources, and community initiatives for underserved youth players and programs. Community clinics in partnership with local organization New Heights are also planned.

Specific scholarship amounts, eligibility criteria, and application timelines have not been publicly released.

What Comes Next for MADE Hoops’ Facility Model

The Brooklyn center is positioned as the first location in a planned national network of MADE Hoops development centers. With Spring Break camps now taking registrations and events still listed as “Coming Soon” as of March 2026, programming is actively being built out. The early structure pairs a national grassroots brand with localized, trainer-led development, a model that will be tested in Brooklyn before any expansion decisions follow.
