QUEENS – A four-alarm fire in Queens on Monday left two people critically injured and caused a partial building collapse, fire officials said.

What we know:

The fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. on the first floor of a multi-story dwelling on College Point Boulevard in Flushing, according to the FDNY, before spreading to the second floor.

Two people were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, officials said. Five others were evacuated from the building.

As of 1:30 p.m., firefighters were still working to contain the blaze.

What we don’t know:

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
